Electronic Toys
Since the advent of batteries electronic toys have become
more popular with children. Before battery operated toys were available
the toy market was dominated by books, stuffed animals, blocks etc.
Now, however, toys that light up and make noises command a large market
share.
Electronic toys can be simple or complex. An example of a simple electronic
toy is a xylophone that lights up when a key is struck. Another simple
toy is a bear that makes noises when a button is pushed.
More complex electronic toys are hooked up to computers or video game
consoles. These toys require complex computer programming to work. However,
they are designed so that children can interact with them with the ease.
