Elmo Toys

Children have loved Elmo since he was first introduced on the Sesame Street television show. It was only natural for marketers to create Elmo toys and place them on toy shelves. These toys sold very well and at times manufacturers could not keep up with demand.

Elmo toys look like the TV character. They are bright orange and have big large eyes. Often they are sold in the form of stuffed animals.

One of the most popular Elmo toys was Tickle Me Elmo. During one Christmas season the Tickle Me Elmo sold out of stores entirely. It was so popular that talk show host Rosie O'Donnell featured it on her national talk show program and occasionally gave this toy out to audience members.
