Toy Drives
Many children cannot afford educational
toys and stuffed animals. Therefore, many nonprofit groups organize
toy drives to collect toy donations. This needs to be a carefully planned
effort.
Toy drives are driven by a committee. This helps with the organization.
Members of the committee decide what toys are appropriate for collection
and how to distribute them.
Toy drives also use volunteers to help collect the toys. Marketing
lets hospitals and shelters know that donations are being accepted.
Guidelines are created to demonstrate what kinds of toys are acceptable
and whether donations are tax-deductible.
